How long is the cosmetology program?
The cosmetology program is 1500 clock hours, which will take one full year to complete at 30 hours per week. The hours of training are Tuesday-Saturday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. After the first eight (8) weeks, one evening per week is incorporated into the schedule which is 1 - 8 pm.
How often to classes begin?
Trend Setters has a new class that begins every eight weeks.

What is the tuition at Trend Setters?
Our cosmetology program is $10,957.
(Includes tuition and kit)
Application fee is $200
Do you offer scholarships and financial aid?
Financial aid is availalbe for those who qualify. Direct loans through the Department of Education are also available. A $3000.00 scholarship is offered to a graduating senior from each high school.
Will you help with job placement?
We aid in job placement but do not guarantee job placement. We have salon owners and managers that come in to talk to classes about their salon and what kind of employee they’re seeking. We also have a job opening board that has all the local salon openings in the area.
Do you have large classes?
No. We believe it’s important to keep classes small for better individual attention.
Will I get to practice on real people?
In an effort to best prepare our students for excellence and success upon graduation, students will spend the bulk of their time here learning in a realistic atmosphere working on actual clients. However, the first 8 weeks (Phase 1) will be spent working on a mannequin and other students to prepare our students for the clinic floor.
What manufactures do you use?
We use Redken, Matrix & Farouk hair care products. For nail care we use OPI & Creative Nail Design. The skin care line we use is Clinical Care & Bodyography. |
